After 1997, Indonesia indeed experience a media freedom euphoria. Every body speaking out loud forgetting the will to listen. Or in this case forget who might be listening. Anyway, I hesitate for a while about this post, whether I will exploits a case out of one’s misery. But considering it it was in a national newspaper, so don’t shoot me, it was there for everyone to see. I merely conclude, in my own analysis and perspective.

As a background story, when I was working at Afterhours (A graphic design house), on my way home, I encounter the silliest, most stupid and rather idiotic thing. I passed a motorist wearing a jacket with BIN writing on it. BIN stands for Badan Intelijen Negara (Indonesian Intelligence Agency). Of course on a jacket it could stand for everything. But BIN is mostly known as Indonesia Intelligence Agency. If it’s true that the guy wearing that “BIN” jacket works at BIN. Is that what you called intelligence????!!!
